  Description of White Water Associates, Inc.

White Water Associates, Inc. is an environmental laboratory and consulting firm with nineteen years experience. With offices and laboratory in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, White Water satisfies a diversity of clients including industry, government (local, state, federal, and tribal), professional service firms, non-governmental organizations, and individuals. White Water follows rigorous quality assurance/quality control practices.

White Water Associates is a woman-owned small business and certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by Departments of Transportation in Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Wayne County (Michigan), and City of Saint Louis (Missouri). White Water is also a HUBZone business (historically underutilized business zone) as certified by the Small Business Administration

The White Water Associates laboratory is certified by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. The laboratory has undergone a rigorous AFCEE (Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence) program for auditing and preparing laboratories for government work. White Water Associates laboratory is currently applying for certification under the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program.

White Water Associates has entered into a formal alliance with Severn Trent Laboratories (STL) for federal contract laboratory work in order to offer full service capabilities and large capacity along with the contracting advantages of a Small Business, HUBZone Business, and Woman-owned Business laboratory. This White Water-STL alliance is possible because of a mutual commitment to provide quality, on time, and competitively priced environmental analytical laboratory services that comply with the requirements and specifications of federal contracts. White Water and STL have in‑depth experience in supporting a variety of US Department of Defense programs and the technical capability and capacity to serve all analytical needs. Chemists from both companies are thoroughly trained in routine and specialized analyses from a broad range of environmental media including soil, water, wastewater, sediment, air, biota, hazardous wastes, mixed waste, and petroleum waste.

•   WWA’s standard hardcopy report, including test results, standard batch QC results, and case narratives.

•   Reports delivered to you within 21 business days of sample receipt, assuming WWA received as least 14 days advance notice of the sample delivery.

•   Sample containers with preservatives, trip blanks, shipping containers, and the paperwork necessary to meet project requirements, provided at least 7 business days advance notice is given.

•   Confirmation analyses where they are necessary to meet method requirements.

•   Disposal of samples using the best treatment methods as delivered by the U.S. EPA.

•   Sample storage for 30 days after analyses are reported.
