COMPANY HISTORY

 

In 1989 McDonnell Douglas Technical Services Company (MDTSC) was formed as a subsidiary of McDonnell Douglas Corporation to provide Engineering/Technical and Information Technology Staffing Services primarily to Boeing divisions. In 1997 McDonnell Douglas Corporation and The Boeing Company merged and we became Boeing/MDTSC. In 1999 The Boeing Company divested MDTSC, and it was purchased by MDTSC primary management and equity partners. In 2000 - MDTSC changed its name to MD Technical Services Company dba Aviant. In 2003, MD Technical Services Company s stock was acquired by PDS Technical Services Company, which became PDS Technical Services, Inc. in 2004.

 

PDS was founded in 1977 in the Pacific Northwest to support the Nuclear Power Industry. In 1984, PDS relocated to Irving, Texas to better serve its large national base of clients. Originally, known as Piping Design Services, the name was changed to PDS to include in its expansion the Aerospace, Defense industries and other business entities. Through acquisition and growth, PDS Technical Services, Inc. now has over 19 offices Nationwide serving numerous industries. Over 60% of our business is Aerospace, Defense, and Government services.

As presented in the Company History section, PDS Technical Services Company acquired MD Technical Services Company dba Aviant, which originated as a service division of the Boeing Company. Both PDS Technical Services Company and MD Technical Services Company have extensive background in Aircraft Maintenance Support Management and Aircraft Maintenance Services (PDS 10 years, MD Technical Services 14 years). Currently the combined companies have approximately eight hundred (830) employees assigned on Aircraft Maintenance Management and Aircraft Maintenance contracts at 15 20 different locations. This includes 800 employees in the United States and 30 overseas. Projects vary from short term type retrofitting, repair, etc. projects to large project management contracts in the same fields. Delivery Terms: Standard Delivery 14 days to provide proposal. Expedited Delivery 7days to provide proposal.

 

Payment Terms: Net 30 days. No prompt payment discount.

Warranty Provisions: Standard. SCW based on manufacture.

 

Service Contract Act: Most categories offered are covered by the Service Contract Act of 1965, as amended. Exceptions: Project Manager and Supervisor.

 

Travel: Any Contractor travel required in the performance of services must comply with the Federal Travel Regulation or Joint Travel Regulations, as applicable, in effect on the date(s) the travel is performed. Established Federal Government per diem rates will apply to all Contractor travel. Contractors cannot use GSA city pair contracts. The Contractor will not add the 0.75% Industrial Funding Fee onto the travel costs. Authorized travel will be billed at PDS actual cost.

 

Other Direct Costs: Costs other than travel (see above) such as equipment or parts purchases will be billed on a fixed price basis, to be established with each order. If possible, PDS will utilize other GSA approved contractors for the procurement of parts and equipment.
