Strategic Planning/Policy Development:
Aegis Research Corporation s experts can assist any
organization with predicting and planning for future contingencies that may
develop in the areas of IO and Security. Our analysts stay abreast of current
events and identify key changes in the world political and military environments.
They can assess trends and threats as well as their potential impact on both
present and future Information and Security operations. Once the threats are
assessed, our analysts can help an organization map a defensive strategy to
include policy, resource, asset and budget planning. Our analysts can play key
roles in developing and implementing policy that will mitigate organizational
behavior related security breeches.
Process and Productivity Improvement:
Security is paramount in many of the organizations we serve. However, processes
that are designed to maintain the tightest security can encumber efficient and
effective achievement of mission goals and objectives. Aegis Research
Corporation can study IO and security-related processes within an organization
and suggest and help implement improvements without compromising control.
Organizational Security Assessment:
Our professionals can evaluate an organization for security vulnerabilities and
then determine the impact and assess the risk associated with identified
vulnerabilities. Such awareness will often induce change in security policy and
architecture while simultaneously facilitating organizational acceptance of
such changes.
Security Architecture Development:
Identification and assessment of vulnerabilities and changes in policy often
necessitate changes to an organization s structures and the creation of new
processes and work flows. We are in the ideal position to develop the
architecture because
1)
We have identified the threats and/or have
assisted in the formulation of policy. Therefore, we have the best
understanding of the requirements and specifications that the architecture must
fulfill.
2)
We have experts from across the security
disciplines who understand the peculiarities of their field enabling us to
develop an optimal architecture, one that balances the competing priorities of
cost effectiveness and comprehensive security protection.
Program Security Audits and Evaluation:
Our broad security repertoire makes us the ideal independent party to audit and
evaluate other companies compliance with Government security policy, plans and
procedures. Our detailed, in-depth evaluations give the Government more than
enough to approve or disapprove a company s security system and structure.
Decision Support Service:
We have the capability in-house to develop models to aid the decision-maker in
both industry and government. Our understanding of IO and security processes,
to include decision points and their possible alternatives of action, combined
with our IT expertise forms a synergistic, solution-driven team that can
facilitate some of the common but very difficult decisions.
