About Us

OPES, INC. is an environmental and construction firm that has served private and public sectors since its founding in 1993. OPES has successfully developed numerous projects involving subsurface investigations, groundwater monitoring programs, and remediation.

We have acquired a vast experience over the past 12 years. We have in our staff experienced hydrogeologists, civil, petroleum and professional engineers to meet the needs of our customers. Some of our customers include the U.S. Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of the Interior and t he Department of the Army for which OPES has delivered solutions effectively and efficiently.

OPES is an 8(a), a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) and HubZone enterprise certified by the Small Business Administration. In addition, OPES is al so certified as a SDB enterprise by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

OPES has prepared Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans for storage tanks containing crude oil as well as refined product. OPES has also prepared Storm Water Pollution Prevention Pl ans (SWP3) for industrial facilities. OPES has prepared permits to perform lead based paint abatement, filed permits for building demolition, filed discharge permits to dispose of treated water from groundwater remediation systems, and helped prepare an air q uality permit for an industrial facility. OPES has evaluated above ground storage tanks for compliance with regulations developed by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, and recommended upgrades to meet those requirements. OPES has filed public notificat ions for activities at sites impacted with hydrocarbons prior to implementation of a remediation system or closure of the site.

OPES prepared a Spill Prevention, Control and
Countermeasures (SPCC) Plan for Calypso Cove Marina
which details actions to be taken in the event of a spill or
release of gasoline occurs.

SIN 899-8 Remediation Services

OPES has removed USTs and ASTs at numerous sites throughout Oklahoma . OPES has conducted subsurface investigations on over 40 sites impacted with hydrocarbons. Most of those sites were closed through either remediation or through a Risk Based Corrective Action (RBCA). Many of these sites underwent long term monitori ng to assess natural attenuation. OPES is also involved in groundwater monitoring activities at Tinker AFB which has over 1200 groundwater monitoring wells. OPES personnel has conducted remediation using various technologies including:
