Midwest Environmental Consultants (MEC) is an established environmental engineering firm with professional engineers, registered geologists and certified hazardous materials managers on staff, covering a variety of disciplines. Several of our staff formerly worked for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Department of Environmental Quality (water pollution control, hazardous waste, air pollution control, solid waste, land reclamation). We offer thorough understanding of federal, state and local regulations and policies to expedite your projects. We provide a broad range of environmental engineering, regulatory compliance, restoration, and conservation services.

MEC strongly believes in developing positive, constructive relationships with regulatory agencies and enjoys excellent working relationships with several regulatory authorities. We have worked closely and successfully with regulators on virtually all of our air, water, land reclamation, wastewater, and waste management projects. Our successful relationships with regulatory authorities are based not only on our technical abilities but also on our familiarity with regulatory processes. Various members of MEC formerly worked in the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) Land Reclamation, Hazardous Waste Management, Solid Waste Management, Air Pollution Control Program, and Water Pollution Control Programs. We understand regulatory processes and reporting requirements extremely well. This translates into timely, quality products and services, for a fair price.
