Administrative Staff Includes administrative assistants, receptionists, processing clerks, and other personnel who provide support services to the professional staff.

 

Paraprofessional Individuals who generally have not obtained a bachelor s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field and who do not intend to be licensed CPAs. These individuals work under the supervision of accountants on various accounting related engagements.

 

Staff Accountant I Individuals with a minimum of a bachelor s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field. These individuals are eligible to sit for the CPA exam. These individuals have a basic knowledge of tax, accounting and auditing practices and generally have between 0 2 years of experience.

 

Staff Accountant II Individuals with a minimum of a bachelor s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field who are eligible to sit for the CPA exam. These individuals have demonstrated a progressive knowledge of tax, accounting and auditing practices and generally have between 1 3 years of experience.

 

Staff Accountant III Individuals with a minimum of a bachelor s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field who are eligible to sit for the CPA exam. These individuals have demonstrated a progressive knowledge of tax, accounting and auditing practices and are beginning to supervise various engagements. Generally, these individuals have between 2 5 years of experience.

 

Supervisor Individuals with a minimum of a bachelor s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field and who have a current CPA license. These individuals have a thorough knowledge of tax, accounting and auditing practices and are responsible for supervising staff accountants. Generally, supervisors have between 4 8 years of experience and have proven their ability to supervise staff accountants on previous engagements.

 

Manager Individuals with a minimum of a bachelor s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field and who have a current CPA license. These individuals have an extensive knowledge of tax, accounting and auditing practices and direct the work of supervisors and staff accountants. Generally, managers have between 6 15 years of experience with generally two or more years of experience acting in a supervisory capacity.

 

Member/Partner Members/partners are owners in the company who have a minimum of a bachelor s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field and have a current CPA license. Generally, members/partners have at least 10 years of experience with approximately four or more years of experience acting in a managerial capacity. Members/partners are responsible for scope, direction, planning, and completion as well as the commitment of the Firm s resources to the engagement plan. They also ensure compliance with Firm policies and professional standards.
