Overview

Shaw’s GSA Professional Engineering Services Contract provides all Federal agencies and eligible ordering activities a quick and efficient means of dealing with their engineering needs.

Under GSA Schedule 871, Shaw Environmental, Inc. (Shaw) can provide any Federal agency with professional engineering services.  This Federal Supply Schedule provides a means to meet both individual and unique requirements in an efficient and effective manner. It enables the federal community to utilize commercial buying practices, significantly reduce the time/cost of acquisition, and devote more of their resources to their primary missions.

Under this schedule, Shaw provides federal activities with experts that can help with most types of engineering tasks.  It allows Federal agencies to order one or more cycles of typical engineering requirements such as design, integration, test and evaluation, integrated logistics support, and acquisition and life cycle management.  Firm-fixed price, T&M, labor hour and level-of-effort task orders are acceptable under this contract.

GSA has modified this schedule contract to allow state and local governments to use it for disaster recovery purchasing.  This allows the use of this Federal Supply Schedule contract by state and local governments to facilitate recovery from major disasters, terrorism, nuclear, biological, chemical, or radiological attacks.  The disaster must be declared by the President under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act.

Shaw offers an integrated team of engineers, technical, scientific and management professionals to fulfill the broad spectrum of engineering services. Shaw has demonstrated that it has the professional engineering staff, tools and corporate commitment to ensure that GSA fulfills their customer needs in a cost effective and efficient manner. Shaw has a thorough understanding and extensive experience providing engineering services to Federal agencies around the country, and worldwide.

Shaw coordinates efforts under this GSA Schedule through its Program Management Office located in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Individual delivery orders are managed on a day-to-day basis and performed by staff located near the facility requesting support. Our ability to apply knowledge gained nationally through local project management and technical resources is facilitated by our nationwide network of more than 70 offices housing more than 6,000 employees.  Shaw’s Program Management Office ensures that the best resources are applied under each order, that contractural obligations are met, and that quality and safety practices are followed consistently.  Management and performance on each delivery order by qualified staff located near the facility ensures local knowledge, simplifies communication with facility personnel, and minimizes costs to the agency.  In this manner, federal facilities can utilize a “local” engineer backed by the resources, knowledge, and experience of national leaders in engineering.
